Some people wake up in the morning satisfied
Surrounded by a crystal dream
Never close enough to hear their sister screaming
As she lies beneath the shadows needing rain
Big highways take them to a city for the day
Sky scrapers help them feed the eye
So breath taking is a view that hides the aching hearts
Where so many spend the evening needing rain
Needing rain
Needing rain falling from the sky
Needing rain falling, falling, falling
Born beneath the shadows needing rain
Storms raging, quickly rearranging, once secure
A life so shattered from the strain
Now the crystal lies in pieces neath the table
Barely glistening in the shadows just like rain
Needing rain
Needing rain falling from the sky
Needing rain falling, falling, falling
Born beneath the shadows needing rain
Born beneath the shadows needing rain
